Back in 2006 I entered the Wildstorm Talent Search contest that was being held at the Wizard World Philadelphia comic convention. Wildstorm, a comic book publishing company ran and owned by the legendary Jim Lee, held 2 rounds of this nation wide contest in 2 cities, Los Angeles and Philadelphia. One guy won in LA and I won in Philly. I can’t explain how excited I was. It felt unreal. After winning in Philly, Wildstorm took my info and I was told that I would receive info regarding the final round between the LA winner and myself. I waited and waited and months passed. I heard nothing. A year later, I found Jim Lee on Myspace and send him a message reminding him who I was and asked what happened. He said they skip the last round and just went with the LA guy. I was FURIOUS!

What books have you worked on? I think that your stuff is real solid even if they didn’t have the courtesy to contact you and let you know what the deal was.
